Home firearm safety course
This course meets the requirements for the Virginia Concealed Carry Permit. Take charge of your family's safety and get the basic knowledge and skills to safely handle and store firearms and ammunition in your home. This training is beneficial for the gun owner and their families as well. Safety comes before all else! This four-hour courses for safe gun handling is conducted in the classroom only. No shooting or test required. Students are taught NRA's three rules for safe gun handling, the primary causes of firearm accidents, firearm parts, how to unload certain action types, ammunition components, cleaning, care, safe storage of firearms and ammunition in the home, and the benefits of becoming an active participant in the shooting sports. This class is taught by an NRA Life Member, Certified Instructor with over 20 years experience in shooting, education, and training.
